Programs

We create opportunities for rooted belonging through four primary programs. Visit our Linktree for more.

Cultivation Program

Through our Cultivation Program, we nurture both the land and our community through intentional care for the land and more equitable food access. By cultivating gardens, establishing a food forest and orchard, creating access to fresh healthy food, and restoring habitat, this program fosters a reciprocal relationship between people and the ecosystems they inhabit. At our community work days and harvest festivals, we welcome all to participate. Our Garden Apprenticeship provides a rich, hands-on learning and mentorship experience.

Oddkin Unite

Oddkin Unite supports local artists in creating new work and channeling their creative gifts toward building kinship among “oddkin”—people who might not otherwise find themselves in shared space or conversation. Through a curated series of intimate art-and-dinner gatherings, artists and participants engage in meaningful dialogue, cultivating resonance, connection, and bridge-building across differences such as age, race/ethnicity, political commitments, socioeconomic location, cultural and religious affiliation.

Affordable Housing

Kinship Plot’s Affordable Housing Project includes twenty small homes designed to serve low-income residents longing to experience greater housing security and a beautiful place to belong. This pocket neighborhood incorporates one- and two-bedroom designs to accommodate individuals and small families, a community life building, and ample outdoor spaces for gardening, enjoyment, and mutual care.

Collaborative Learning

We offer collaborative and contemplative learning experiences where participants engage through small-group cohorts, workshops, and reflective offerings. Recurring programs include the MLK Teach-In and Work Day, Milkweed & Monarch, Winter Solstice Nature Walk, and the Ecological Discipleship Group. By-request offerings include guided forest walks, eco-somatic sessions, retreats, speaking engagements on a variety of themes, and thematic workshops.
